Hubspot, a maker of online marketing tools, has secured $12 million in a second round led by Matrix Partners. Previous backer General Catalyst also participated in the latest round. The Cambridge, Mass.-based company, which was formed in 2005, raised a $5 million first round last July and received $500,000 in a seed round two years ago.
